Syrian Refugee Crisis Tops Lebanon’s President Talks With UNSC Permanent Members

Ambassadors of Permanent Members of the UN Security Council (China, France, Russia, the UK, the USA) were invented by Lebanese President Michel Aoun to Presidential Palace in Baabda on Monday to consult on developments at the Lebanese and regional issues mainly the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, al-Joumhouria daily reported on Monday.

Informed diplomatic sources told the daily on condition of anonymity that Aoun’s working group has completed the files set to be discussed at the meeting.

The President is expected to explain to the ambassadors, and later to representatives of international organizations, the negative repercussions at the economic, social, educational and health levels in Lebanon as the result of the Syrian refugees influx.
